23may8:0020:00NAGA 2020 Germany Grappling Championship

Event Details

The North American Grappling Association (NAGA) comes to Kreissportshalle in Limburg, Germany on May 23, 2020. The NAGA Germany Grappling Championship is a no-gi and gi grappling tournament with divisions for all skill levels and all ages. Expert division winners are awarded championship belts. Non-expert division winners are awarded medals.

NAGA no longer accepts registrations or payments on the Friday or Saturday of the event. If you absolutely have to pay cash or need to register on Friday please call us to make arrangements, 860-295-0403.

New for 2020: Children and teen competitors who want to compete in an additional higher weight class or older age group can do so for $20 per division. You can add one additional weight class or age group per division type (no-gi or gi) for a total of 4 divisions (2 gi + 2 no-gi). You cannot register for multiple skill levels. To do this you must contact us via email ( and we will invoice you. Once payment is made we will add them to the additional divisions.

NAGA is asking that all schools make sure their affiliation within the Smoothcomp system is in order. The reasoning for this is that we want to make sure that the team points are accurate without the need for post event auditing. This will allow us to give out the team awards post event once all results are published.
NAGA compiles team results by affiliation. If you do not set up the affiliation your team’s points will only go to you not your affiliation. For more information on how to take care of this we have created a document for you that includes links to articles located on the Smoothcomp website that explain the process in detail. Get the document (PDF format) here: If you have any questions please contact us.

NAGA uses Smoothcomp for registration management and for bracketing the event. All competitors will need to register through the Smoothcomp website. If you do not already have a Smoothcomp account, you will be prompted to create one. Parents can create one account and host your children under that account (the same goes for coaches and their students if you choose to do so). Once you are registered, you will be able to view who is enrolled in their group. If there is no one in your group, do not worry, NAGA will work to find you matches.
On tournament day you will be able to monitor the schedule and the estimated start time of your division. Coaches, family, and friends will be able to follow your bracket, all of this in real-time. For instructions on how to use Smoothcomp please visit their support page at
Family codes are still available. To get a code you will need to call the office Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (EST) to get your unique code. If your call is not answered, please leave a voicemail with which tournament you need the code for and the number of competitors. If you register a family without using a code, contact us and we can refund the discount (once verified on our end). Please note this discount is only for immediate family members (brother and sister competing, mother and son competing, father and daughter competing, etc.). Cousins, teammates, etc. do not qualify.
